Join one of Minnesota’s leading phenologists, John Latimer, on a gentle paddle to explore the waters of McCarthy Beach State Park.
Mr. Latimer will guide your canoe and curiosity to discover loons, lily pads, eagles, and the many other plants and animals that live along the water’s edge.
- Meet at the boat launch near campsite 18 in the Side Lake campground.
- There are a limited number of canoes available for loan; please call the park to reserve a canoe or bring your own to the program.
- The program is free and the canoes are free to use during the program only.
